Clause is a lively and contemporary cocktail bar situated on Lovat Lane, just off Eastcheap, close to the centre of the City.

Clause is privately owned by Gina Cohen who previously ran West End glamour spots Sugar Reef and Embassy.

Clause opened in July 2005 and specializes in quality food and drinks served by friendly and knowledgeable staff.

The layout at Clause provides several areas suitable for private groups with a central dance floor area which blends into the restaurant feel during the day yet comes alive later at night - especially on Thursday and Friday when we are open until 2am.

Lunchtimes are ideal for informal business meetings or just catching up with friends. Wireless internet access is available free of charge.

In the evenings Happy Hour from 5pm-7pm offers a great excuse to meet for drinks after work. For groups of 6 or more areas can be booked in advance.
Waitress service is available throughout Clause at all times.

Clause is open from 12 noon Monday to Friday and closes at 11pm on Monday and Tuesday, 1am on Wednesday and 2am on Thursday and Friday.

Clause is available for private hire on Saturday and Sunday.
Later opening is possible for private events

Clause takes reservations for lunch on a daily basis. We are usually very busy, so it's best to book.

We can also reserve areas for anything from 6 to 250 people in the evening for drinks parties, canapes, buffets or any kind of get together.

We're happy to help you to organise your event whether it involves a few friends chipping in for some drinks or a high budget corporate function. If our food or drinks menu are not suitable for your function then we have the flexibility to provide menus tailored specifically to suit your needs.

We can also provide extras such as security, DJs, ice sculptures, chocolate fountains or anything else you may need in order to make your event a success.

Clause can be booked for private events on any day or night of the week and later opening is possible if required.

Clause is not open to the public on Saturdays or New Years Eve, consequently private hire prices are much more reasonable than those found in many other areas of London.
