Frankenbar

Frankenbar is the fashionable, graffiti art-inspired sister to OQO, located in the basement of OQO on Islington Green. The arty design would fit perfectly in any bar of uber-cool East London, making Frankenbar a truly unique and original North London location perfect for your individual event.

The intimate lay-out and funky club design combine to make it a perfect location for a private event. The décor makes for an interesting talking point while the truly random and eclectic mix of chairs dotted around allow you to relax with friends/colleagues. Or you can spend the entire time on the dance floor!!

Frankenbar is famed for its DJs quality mix of funk and electro house. If required we can organise a DJ for you that is appropriate to the theme of your event.

With a wide selection of drinks available at your private bar, including both classic favourites and signature fresh fruit cocktails, Frankenbar really does offer something for all tastes. Oriental canapés are also available for any food requirements.

yuck! I really didn't like this place when I visited 2weekends ago. The guy on the door was rude & lectured me about how I have to carry ID with me at all times in the UK, I'm 30 and was in town from Dublin visiting friends, I've never heard such rubbish! At the bar they're sloppy with their drinks preparation. The cocktails look pretty fancy, but they free pour their measures & twice I saw the manger miss the glass pouring the alcohol straight on the bar, I'm sure the short pour too, def not a full 3second pour. Also, I thought the drinks were pricey £6.50 for a vodka on the rocks? We moved downstairs & stayed for about an hour, where we were bothered by a very drunk guy who left taking my coat with him! It was a super freezing night, & when I told the manager what had happened, after he ignored me at the bar for more the 10 mins & it wasn’t a very busy night, he was less than sympathetic! I know it's not his fault someone stole my coat but they don’t offer a cloakroom & with such a 'strict' door policy surely they should take some responsibility for the type of customer they let in! The very attentive door man was momentarily blinded and strangely never saw a drunk guy leaving wearing a ladies coat! I noticed it was gone seconds after he left, I’m sure, pointed in the right direction, I could have found him, or tried too. The least they could have done was take my number and say they'd have a look in case it turned up, even if they never did it would have made me feel better! Instead the manager told me that they never encounter problems like that & they’d been open for 3 years. I'd be very surprised if they are open for another 3 with this attitude. I own a bar in Ireland and it would kill me if any of my customers were treated with such distain by staff. In these times customer service is what will keep a business afloat, sloppy service in bars gives all in the licensed trade a bad name. I wish I could give this bar no stars but it wont let me! sus
